This was a very frustrating theme to work with. Almost everything was behind a paywall. It I couldn’t even add my blog posts to it with activating the Calibri plugin. Then once I had that activated I needed to get past a paywall to activate footer widgets and sidebar widgets. Additionally the UI was not very intuitive to work with. I found myself having to search through multiple different screens in order to find the setting I wanted. This as a UI definitely made me not want to use the theme let alone pay for additional settings.

I give Colibri WP a 1 star review for an annoying UI and the paywall that I have little interest in getting because of the UI

Royal Elementor Kit Theme Review

This theme was called Royal Elementor Kit by WP royal. It was available of WordPress with a 5 star rating and 50,000+ installations.

Tags: blog, e-commerce, one-column, custom-background, custom-colors, full-width-template, custom-menu, custom-logo, featured-images, sticky-post, theme-options, threaded-comments, translation-ready.

This was not a very impressive theme. Immediately out of the gate I did not like the look of the theme. This only got worse when header images were not really compatible on the blog page and widgets were not compatible at all. Just not an impressive showing. It took me all of 3 minutes to realize that I was probably never going to use this theme.

Overall I give Royal Elementor Theme a 1 star review because it has very little to offer compared to other themes.

Vertice Theme Review

This theme was called Vertice by Extend Themes. It is available on wordpress with no reviews and only 4,000+ installations.

Tags: entertainment, food-and-drink, portfolio, one-column, two-columns, grid-layout, custom-header, custom-menu, custom-logo, full-width-template, theme-options, translation-ready, featured-images, threaded-comments

This theme had a decent amount of customizations. The page was simple enough to configure, however a lot of the more interesting stuff I wanted to play with was kept behind a pay wall. For this theme they had you download a plugin called kubio, which basically opened the editor in a different website and had some really cool stuff going on including ai generated content. However a lot of the interesting stuff was blocked behind a paywall and unable to edit. This site replaced widgets with something else that I wasnt able to try because I was not going to pay for it. Thus based on the free service it was very disappointing. a lack of widgets made it hard to edit the footer and header. However the page itself was very intuitive to edit as it almost felt like editing a powerpoint.

I give Vertice a 3 star review because there was a lot of cool ideas going on, but the dysfunctionality of the UI without the plugin or the paywall makes it not very newcomer friendly.

Blocksy Theme Review

This theme is called Blocksy by CreativeThemes. Available on WordPress with a 5 star rating, and 100,000+ installations.

Tags: blog, e-commerce, wide-blocks, block-styles, grid-layout, one-column, two-columns, three-columns, four-columns, right-sidebar, left-sidebar, translation-ready, custom-colors, custom-logo, custom-menu, featured-images, footer-widgets, full-width-template, theme-options, threaded-comments, buddypress, rtl-language-support, news

This theme has even more customizability than Oceans WP did. On top of that it has such a better UI as well. It utilizes sliders and clickable edit buttons on each spot you want to edit. This makes it easy to edit for two reasons, (1) you do not need to find the corresponding option in the sidebar for what you want to edit, you can just click that item’s edit button, and (2) the sliders are a really effective for of editing. It was compatible with my previous themes widgets, making it really easy to transfer and edit items that were already there, including my logo in the header. Overall really functional UI. Only thing that it was lacking in was appearance out of the gate, but considering how easy it was to edit, not that bad.

I give Blocksy a 5 star review because of the innovative UI and customization capabilities.

Hestia Theme Review

This Theme is called Hestia, by themeisle.

It is available on WordPress with a 5 star and has 100,000+ installations.

Tags include: blog, custom-logo, portfolio, e-commerce, rtl-language-support, post-formats, grid-layout, one-column, two-columns, custom-background, custom-colors, custom-header, custom-menu, featured-image-header, featured-images, flexible-header, full-width-template, sticky-post, theme-options, threaded-comments, translation-ready, editor-style, footer-widgets, left-sidebar, right-sidebar, wide-blocks

This theme is on of my favorites so far. It came with a really intuitive pre-upload instructions that let you set the site colors, logo, headline, and even a mini logo icon for the google tab. Probably the best looking theme out of the game too. Additionally it has the same color customization and picture compatibility as the Oceans theme. On top of that it has a completely editable footer and header, as well as sidebar widgets. Definitely the best theme thus far.

I give Hestia a 5 star rating because of how simple it is to use and how good it looks from its first employment.

Twenty Seventeen Theme Review

This theme is called Twenty Seventeen and was made by WordPress.

It is available on WordPress with a a 4.5 star rating and has  500,000+ active installations.

Listed here are the tags: one-column, two-columns, right-sidebar, flexible-header, accessibility-ready, custom-colors, custom-header, custom-menu, custom-logo, editor-style, featured-images, footer-widgets, post-formats, rtl-language-support, sticky-post, theme-options, threaded-comments, translation-ready, block-patterns.

This theme was very accessible. It had a fully customizable footer and header. It did have access to additional CSS which was good to see. I had access to the full range of colors as well. However while it was good to go from the start for the most part, it was very limited in what I could do to change the home page. Additionally posts were showed in full as opposed to showing just the title of the post and offering a link to the full post. It is advertised as a

I give this theme a 4 star rating

PopularFX Review

This theme is PopularFX by developer Pagelayer, Free. It It is available on WordPress with a 4.5 star rating on WordPress and has 100,000+ installations.

Listed below is a list of tags (features) advertised by the introduction screen of the theme.

Tags: custom-background, custom-logo, custom-menu, featured-images, threaded-comments, translation-ready, entertainment, full-width-template, one-column, two-columns, left-sidebar, e-commerce, right-sidebar, microformats, post-formats, theme-options, blog, rtl-language-support.

It is an extensive list which made it very exciting to try out. And it is pretty good, however, it not going to be as good as the first one obviously. This one had very good color and font controls in the customization window of the theme. However, it lacks the customization and use of widgets seen by Ocean WP. It offers almost no customization for the footer, including the copywrite tag. Additionally it does not support videos in the header. However, its standard view is a lot more friendly that Ocean WP. Additionally the default post page is formatted a lot better. This once is more ready to be used out of the gate.

I give PopularFX theme a 4 star review because while it lacks certain customization, it still offers a lot while being pretty nice out of the gate.

Ocean WP Review

The first review is on Ocean WP, developed by Ocean WP. It is available on WordPress with a 5 star rating and 700,000+ installations.

Here is a list of tags (features): two-columns, right-sidebar, footer-widgets, blog, news, custom-background, custom-menu, post-formats, rtl-language-support, sticky-post, editor-style, threaded-comments, translation-ready, buddypress, custom-colors, featured-images, full-width-template, theme-options, e-commerce, block-styles, wide-blocks, accessibility-ready.

This is a really impressive line up and it shows in the performance of the them. It has an easily customizable color scheme, footer, and header. It has easily accessible widgets that are easy to apply and customize. This allows you to customer the footer and header in many ways. Additionally it supports both videos and pictures in the header.

I give Ocean WP a 5 star review because of the heavy level of customization and ease of use.
